The research analyst's primary function is to perform title searches, navigate consumer reports and bankruptcy cases to determine a lien's status, security and position. The results are then submitted to the trade desk for use in the acquisition or sale of an asset. The research analyst utilizes various web services and must be innovative in approach to locating property information. The research analyst is responsible for making a determination on what does and what does not affect the security of a lien. The research analyst’s secondary functions include assisting in determining the property's value, tax status and delinquency amounts. The research analyst will help to develop and document the lien research process.

  • Analyze results of title search to determine lien security and position
  • Analyze bankruptcy cases to determine if lien was affected
  • Analyze consumer reports to determine status of subject and priority liens
  • Analyze property valuation reports to determine property value
  • Analyze tax assessor information to determine tax status and delinquency amounts
  • Report findings to Trade desk for acquisition and sales
  • Monitor and update findings for company's present portfolio
  • Create a process to inquire taxes, value, lien position, bankruptcy interpretation
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision and demonstrate appropriate initiative when making decisions and problem-solving.
  • Must be able to effectively summarize and communicate the results of research.
  • Must be able to work in an environment with tight deadlines and changing priorities.
  • Prefer intermediate Excel skills; versed in Java
